- inheritance
- home
- roots
General
You feel a strong bond with your roots, your family and what belongs to you. This is a good time to build lasting values and deepen your sense of belonging. Unlike Fehu's individual gain, what is at stake here is a shared, collective inheritance.
Love
A wish to build a lasting home together comes to the fore — a house, a family or a shared future may be on the agenda. Loyalty to tradition and roots is setting your relationship on solid ground.
Career
A family business, an inheritance or a property investment may be on your agenda. The success you build now carries lasting value, meant to last for generations rather than for a season.
Othala · Reversed
- uprootedness
- inheritance dispute
- stuck in the past
General
You may feel cut off from your roots, your family or where you come from. Disputes may arise around a matter of inheritance. Holding on too tightly to the past may be making your search for belonging today harder.
Love
An inheritance dispute in the family may spill into your relationship. Traditional expectations or family pressure may create tension between you as a couple. It matters to tell your own boundaries apart from your family's expectations.
Career
A financial loss or dispute related to property or a family business may occur. Ground you felt safe on may have been shaken. Making a clear financial plan now will ease the insecurity.
Considered one of the strongest symbols of protection for home, property and family; unlike Fehu, it is believed to guard collective (family or household) wealth rather than individual gain.
Rune Poem
In the Old English poem ancestral land is precious to anyone who can live at home in peace and plenty.
History and Myth
Speaks of inherited land, of what comes from the ancestors, and of belonging.
Inner Life
Honouring your roots; belonging somewhere.
Shadow Side
Living in the shadow of the past; closing up to change.
