General
Words carry more weight than usual right now — both what you say and what you hear will shape what comes next. Listen to advice from someone wise, or to your own inner voice. Your mind is working with unusual clarity, and the insight to untangle a complicated matter may arrive in these days.
Love
It is the right time for an honest conversation that may have been put off for too long. You are well matched in mind — you truly understand each other, and that understanding deepens as it is put into words. Open communication is the great gift of this period.
Career
Your ability to speak and persuade is at its peak, an ideal time for an important presentation, interview or deal. Expressing your ideas clearly will make it easy to win people over. Don't hesitate to make your voice heard.
Ansuz · Reversed
- miscommunication
- manipulation
- bad advice
General
The channel between you and others may have clouded over — what is said is misunderstood, or not said at all. You may suspect someone of giving you advice in bad faith or twisting information. Questioning what you hear matters as much now as trusting your own instincts.
Love
Something may be going unsaid or being hidden in your relationship. Misunderstandings need to be laid on the table before they grow — silence is not the solution right now, it is the problem. If you notice someone using words to manipulate, don't hesitate to keep your distance.
Career
Information reaching you at work may be incomplete or wrong, and gossip may get ahead of the facts. Checking the facts before an important decision will save you a big disappointment.
Thought to ease exam nerves, stammering and the fear of speaking in public; it can be held in mind before an important talk or exam.
Rune Poem
In the Old English poem it is the source of speech and wisdom; in the Icelandic one it is the old father of Asgard, Odin.
History and Myth
Its name means "a god"; directly tied to Odin, god of speech, poetry and wisdom.
Inner Life
Clarity of mind; finding what you want to say.
Shadow Side
Using words to mislead, or being misled by them.
Harmony and Tension
Kindles inspiration with Kenaz; feels cramped under Nauthiz.
In Talismans
Used in talismans for communication, exams and inspiration.
Do my words bring light, or confusion?
